Aurora micas, sometimes called mermaid micas, are a white powder that has a faint hint of color when viewed at from different angles but straight on often just look white. This is similar to how the aurora borealis (northern lights) work. The cover photo shows them over a white base on the right and black on the left. When you use them over different colored base you'll get a slightly different color effect.
